THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF DEPOSE (MEANINGPUT DOWN OR DESIGN PATENT) WALL HANGINGS, MADE IN ITALY CIRCA THE 1960S. Colorful,and highly detailed 3 dimensional resin figures OF A LADY AND MAN IN CLASSICAL 18TH CENTURY CLOTHING BENDING THE KNEE IN A GREETING GESTURE.
HAND PAINTED AND HAND MADE MANY OF THESE WERE MADE BY CAPODIMONTE ARTISTS. CAPODIMONTES ARE FINE ITALIAN PORCELAIN DECOR THAT ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR INTRICATE DESIGN AND VINTAGE MOTIF.
THIS SET FEATURES A COURTING MAN AND WOMAN SET UPON BLUE VELVET.
THE FRAMES ARE MOULDED RESIN, WITH ORNATE FLOURISHES.
BOTH HAVE THE DEPOSE ITALY 193 STAMP ON THE BACK, AS WELL AS HOOKS AT TOP FOR EASY HANGING.
VALUE: THESE RESIN FIGURES ARE SELLING FOR AROUND R2000 ONLINE. I HAVE ADDED TWO PHOTOS INDICATING WHAT THEY SELL FOR.
