Vintage! DragonWare Kutani Moriage Geisha Lithophane Demitasse Tea Set

Dragon designs are common in Kutani ware as part of the overall pattern. Lithophane is a design visible when held up to the light. The bottom of these teacups shows a portrait of a geisha when held up to the light. Some Kutani pieces feature raised enamel decoration called moriage. This stunning set consists of 4 cups and saucers. A milk jug and a tea pot. The workmanship is truly something to behold. It is delicate with a touch of elegance and an extraordinary find for collectors. It is still in an excellent well loved condition for something so fragile and old
