Vintage Elgin Pocket Watch from the USA

This is a large pocket watch that is approx. 50mm in diameter and weighs 102 grams.

The lid does not close properly and I cracked the glass when I tried to close it.

Although I am selling it as not working, it actually started to tick when I took the pictures.

The name JP Visser is scratched on one of the inside lids. There is also a scratch on the back of the watch.

I cannot find a gold mark anywhere so it’s probably not a gold watch.
