 Vintage Elgin Pocket Watch

These watches were symbols of America's emergence from an agricultural country into an industrial power. Watches are one of the few machines that were made 50 or even 150 years ago that, even today, can still be practical to use every day. The pocket watch needs some attention as it tends to start ticking then stops ocassionally. Magnificent piece. No serial number as I am not an expert and do not want to try force the back open and damage the case.
