  VINTAGE ENGLISH HALF-ETERNITY RING 9CT YELLOW GOLD. SPINEL GEMSTONE. UNUSUAL COLOUR. GREAT STACKING RING.

This piece features 5 x oval faceted natural spinel gemstone in a most unusual aqua colour. Set in 9ct yellow gold, the gemstones are set on elongated claws that hold the stones 3mm above the finger. The ring head measures 19mm wide x 3mm long and sits on a 9ct yellow gold simple, slim shank. Modern in design and feel, this piece has a simple elegance. The colour of the gemstones attracted me - defnitely a cross between peridot green and aqumarine, depending on which way you turn it into the light. It is really pretty. I acquired the ring from a vintage jeweller in London but the hallmarks show that it was assayed in Birmingham in the Jewellery quarter of the England's midlands. It also bears the hallmark 375 for 9ct gold as well as the jeweller signature and the date mark for 2006. Would make a great stacking ring!
