 VINTAGE OPAL CLUSTER 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING WITH DIAMOND ACCENTS. *JEWELLER EVALUATION R15'000*

I was thrilled to discover this gorgeous opal piece in the hands of a favourite antique jeweller in the Jewellery Quarter, situated in the Midlands of England. Opal's are increasingly scarce and this gorgeous ring is a full-on large cluster - big and beautiful but not hefty or inelegant. The ring has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold. The cluster features a cluster of gorgeous opal cabochons of different sizes, with a beautiful rainbow iridescence! The opals are set on elongated claws, the central opal measuring 6mm x 4mm and rising a splendid 8mm above the finger. 10 x 2,8mm and 10 x 2mm opals complete the cluster. Extra appeal comes in the form of 10 x small cut diamonds interspersed around the border of the ring head. The shank is narrow, with a twist detail on the shoulders. The ring head measures 13mm in diameter, and the piece weighs a solid 3,12 grams. The pedigree of the piece is evident in the many hallmarks: the jeweller's signature, the year 2004, the Birmingham Assay mark, and the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold. I have had the piece evaluated by an independent jeweller at R15'000, and a certificate to that effect will accompany the piece. Note large ring size.
