Vintage English Hallmarked Sterling Silver Napkin Ring by CT Burrows and Sons 1944
A lovely vintage sterling silver napkin ring, fully hallmarked for Birmingham in the UK, the makers mark for CT Burrows and Sons (Charles Turman Burrows), and date mark 1944. Charles Turman Burrows was active as a silversmith from 1896-1944.
This stunning machined napkin ring is in a very good vintage condition with no damage to report but does show some wear to the decoration consistent with age and use. It has the initials 'LA' engraved in the cartouche on the front and has the full English hallmarks on the opposite end. It is also engraved with what appears to be 'Mair' (a girl's name that means 'wished for child') and the date 1945. This napkin ring has a diameter of about 4.5cm and height of approximately 3.2cm. A pleasing addition to any collection. It has a total weight of about 33g.
