 ENGLISH VINTAGE 0,40 ct RUBY GEMSTONE AND FIRE OPAL 9CT GOLD RING. 375

A particularly pretty combination of natural stones, this vintage English piece features a central opal (in good vintage condition - no chips or cracks) framed by 12 natural deep raspberry ruby gemstones. The opal is 7 x 5 mm in size. The twelve rubies are natural earth-mined and 2mm diameter. Together they total 0,40 carats. The ring head is a good size, measuring 12 mm length x 9 mm across and presenting 6mm above the finger. The ring is solid 9ct gold - certified as "white" gold but as the photographs show, it has a warm tinge to it. Not an icy white. And also not a deep yellow. it makes a beautiful setting for the rubies and opal! There are some interesting hallmarks including the jeweller signature, both a 9 and 375 for 9ct gold, the London assay mark and the date hallmark for 1974. I had the ring checked and authenticated by an independent jeweller and her "certificate for insurance purposes" of R11'500 will accompany the ring. I'll also send it in a quality English leatherette ring box.
