Vintage Engraved Chinese Character Nephrite Green Jade Pendant in Gold Plated Frame

This is a lovely oval shaped jade pendant set in a gold plated frame. It is engraved with Chinese Characters and then gold filled to make it flush with the stone, creating a smooth surface. The Chinese characters bare a close similarity to the symbol for Luck and Prosperity, however we have been unable to confirm this with 100% certainty. The jade is translucent, as to be expected from jade

The pendant is in a very good vintage condition with slight wear consistent with age and use. It measures approximately 1.9 cm X 2.5 cm, without the loop. The loop ads another 0.5 cm to the length. The pendant is about 3 mm thick. This item does not include a chain, the chain is for demonstration only, you get only the pendant. A beautiful piece of jewellery to add to your collection.
