Vintage Fireplace Bellows

These rather unusual old bellows are fairly large and in good working order. Well crafted, they have some very interesting inscriptions and carvings. “NEC IMPAR VENTO” is Latin and translates into “no match for the wind”. The Welsh dragon offers a clue about their origins. We estimate their age to be about 90 years but they may be older. In addition to their attraction as a decor piece it sure beats trying to fan a fire to life with whatever you are lucky enough to find lying around . A very handy fireside tool.
