
Offered on this auction is this Fixed Arm Planimeter in its original issue box.
This Planimeter is made by Cooke, Troughton & Simms, and dates back to the 1930’s.
The pole arm is 20 cm long.
A Planimeter is a measuring instrument used to determine the area of an arbitrary two-dimensional shape.
COSMETICALLY this Planimeter is in Excellent Condition. There are no dents or dings. A small amount of paint is scratched off the pole arm.
The box is in good condition but some of the outer leather covering having been torn off the top of the box. The clasps are in good working order.
MECHANICALLY the item is also in Excellent Condition with all moving parts move freely (See Photos).
