Vintage flat iron rest stand

This is a vintage flat iron or electric pressing iron rest stand. 

Not much is know about it and no comparatives can be found on the market. Based on design alone this rest stand possibly dates from the 1940's and possibly as late as the 1960's. It has definite Art Deco design elements. It has no detectable marks and it is also not certain exactly what kind of metal was used.

It is in a good vintage condition with clear signs of use and age. With no damage found anywhere. It measures approximately 10.5 cm X 18.5 cm with a height of just over 5 cm.

Not only is this a very decorative piece, it is still very much functional and can still be used for its intended purpose.
