This is an authentic vintage butchers cleaver, stamped with U.S. PAT. OFF. N.56746 and featuring the classic shield logo. It was manufactured by Foster Bros. (Foster Brothers Cutlery Co., Fulton, NY, USA), a renowned American maker of high-quality butcher tools active from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s.
Blade: Heavy carbon steel, rectangular cleaver design, with natural patina and light age-related surface rust.
Handle: Original wood handle with three rivets, solid and intact.
Markings: U.S. PAT. OFF. N.56746 visible on the blade.
Condition: Vintage/used. Shows signs of age and use but remains strong and suitable for restoration, display, or collection.
