Vintage French St. Claude Bruyere Garantie Estate Pipe.

A vintage, quality French estate pipe in the bent brandy shape.  Stamped "St. Claude" and "Bruyere Garantie" (Guaranteed Briar) to the shank. In overall good vintage condition.  Cleaned and sanitized.  Kindly view images above for more detail.

Saint-Claude is not only the birthplace of the briar pipe, but the world capital of pipe making, having spawned some of the most legendary pipe manufacturers in the world.

I have on auction a large estate lifelong collection of quality tobacco smoking pipes dating from the 1950's to 1980's.  Apart from 3 or 4 of them (faults mentioned specifically) the condition is good to very good.  The collection has clearly been well-maintained and lovingly cared for.
