Vintage Galvanized Watering Can
A solid old beauty, East London made, this old lady stands 38cm tall and measures 43cm from back of handle to tip of spout. There is some discoloration below the spout, but the bodywork is properly intact and the galvanizing is clearly doing what it is meant to do, i.e. resist oxidation. The modern versions of this gem are junky and tinny; she is hefty and solidly built. Her detailing is delightful, lipped mouth and all. Too beautiful to put to work again, she is a decorators dream and will display magnificently. A lovely thing!
