Vintage Gaskell & Chambers Quarter Gill Optic Pearl, scrimshaw and hunting dog head bottle openers. This lot consists of:

• Complete vintage Gaskell & Chambers Quarter Gill Optic Pearl chrome spirit measure. I would date this old spirit measure to the 1930s. It is rare to find a complete one such as this - one with both the wall mounting bracket and the optic. The optic is manufactured from chromed steel with a glass pearl. It is marked Gaskell & Chambers Ltd, S.A Pattern No 327, AB46781. Mounted it would stand 36cm high. The optic is in good condition.
• An African handcrafted bone and ironwood handle bottle opener. This lovely bottle opener would have been handcarved by an artisan in Mozambique in the 1970s. The bone carved handle depicts a Rhino with vegetation in the background, and the opener is cast using brass. It has ironwood finishes at the top and bottom. The opener measures 17.5cm, and is in good condition.
• Hunting dog head bottle opener. It would seem as though this bottle opener would have been manufactured in the 1930s. It depicts a Pointer dogs head, and is manufactured from a wood composite with the metal bottle opener at the bottom. It measures 9cm (h) x 14cm (w), and is in fair condition - bit of wear overall.

Great buy - the optic and these openers seem quite collectable.
