A vintage, quality estate pipe in the straight Canadian shape by renowned pipe makers GBD.  Stamped "GBD Popular" and "London, England 1677" to the shank.  In overall good vintage condition.  Kindly view images above for more detail.

Founded in Paris in 1850, GBDnamed after its founders, Ganneval, Bondier, and Donningerbecame one of the world's most respected makers of briar pipes, later expanding production to London where its English-made pipes earned a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, quality briar, and excellent smoking characteristics. Vintage pre-1980s GBD pipes, particularly those made before the Cadogan era, are highly regarded by collectors for their precise engineering, elegant shaping, and enduring reputation as some of the finest classic English pipes ever produced.
