I researched this knife as I know nothing about them, these Okapi knives were produced in Germany from 1902 with the giraffe logo on the origional .german knives, they closed in 1987 and a South African Company then started producing them from 1988 and still exists but the knives will have made in S A with some other animal on the knife. The knives being sold ( with the origional giraffe and made in Germany)  go for huge money overseas, but there again prices are very varied. I have no actual idea what the value of this knife is, it has definately had lots of use in its lifetime but I have not attempted to clean it as I am not sure how to.
