This is a vintage Gillette Black Handle  Superspeed safety razor. The razor was made by GIllette in the USA. The date code is I 1 (First Quarter 1988). The razor is in excellent working condition. The twist to open mechanism works perfectly and the blade reveal is straight and even. This razor is in very good condition (7.5 / 10) .  The entire razor has been cleaned, oiled, and polished and buffed.  It is ready to shave  - just slot in a blade :) 

This is a classic piece of shaving history, and it's safe to say that they don't make them like this anymore.
