Vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable Razor (H2, 1962)

This is a vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable razor. The razor was made by GIllette in the USA. The date code is H2 (Second quarter of 1962. The razor is in goodworking confition. The twist to open mechanism works perfectly and the blade reveal is straight and even. This razor is in very good condition  (8 / 10) . 

The head and ahandle are in good condition, with no major wear or any plate loss.  The adjustment knob still works perfectly. The Gillette slim adjustable is a favourite among shavers, and the design represents one of the high points in Gillette's Safety Razor design. Tun the knob up to increase the blade and the aggression level. 

A note about the GIllette Adjustable razors: the guard doors must be opened before making any adjustment to the aggression level dial. 

Once the doors close, give the handle a further quarter turn to lock down the blade. 

The entire razor has been cleaned, oiled, and polished and buffed.  It is ready to shave  - just slot in a blade :) 

This is a classic piece of shaving history, and it's safe to say that they don't make them like this anymore.
