VINTAGE TANZANITE HALF ETERNITY 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING, WELL HALLMARKED, EXCELLENT CLARITY. 375

A half eternity ring, this rather lovely ring features 11 x round faceted, soft lilac tanzanites (3 x 2.5mm diameter and 8 x 1,5mm diameter), channel set in 9ct yellow gold. The ring head measures 3 mm wide on the widest part of the ring (the ring head area). Interestingly, it is divided into 4 segments with notches indicating each section. I found the ring in a vintage jeweller in London but in fact it heralds from Birmingham, the Jewellery Quarter of England. The pedigree of the piece is apparent in the many hallmarks: the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay mark, the jeweller's signature, and the date 2009. The shank is slender, polished 9ct yellow gold. The piece weighs 1,63 grams, and sits snugly and comfortable on the finger. Please note the fairly large ring size.
