Title: Vintage Hollinshead & Kirkham China Chamber Pot. Manufacturer: Hollinshead & Kirkham, Tunstall, Made In England. Year: Possibly 1930's? Height: 13.5cm. Diameter: 24cm. Info: An unusual item that can have other uses, it could be used as is or it could be repurposed as a flower pot / planter as an example. Hollinshead & Kirkham were Earthenware manufacturers, originally at Burslem and then at Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. The original partners were John William Hollinshead, Samuel Hollinshead and Samuel Kirkam. Around 1876 they took over the Woodland Pottery in Tunstall. In 1890 the Unicorn Pottery in Tunstall, previously worked by Wedgwood & Co., had been rebuilt and the business of Hollinshead & Kirkham moved into the premises. In January 1891 the partnership was dissolved and the business was carried on by John Kirkham and George Frederick Helé under the same title of Hollinshead & Kirkham. In March 1956 the business was voluntarily wound up. The factory was purchased by Johnson Bros (Hanley) Ltd. Condition: Very Good, a vintage pot, no chips or cracks. Price: R 245.00 Inc Vat.
