Laughing Buddha Statue with Stand. Elaborately detailed polystone Laughing Buddha statue, a good luck charm of abundance and success, standing on a lacquered wooden stand. The figurine represents a vision of happiness, depicting Laughing Buddha with a fan travelling with a money bag filled with treasures. Cast using durable resin in the Quanzhou carving style bearing slightly irregular chisel marks of the craftsmaster. The figure has a stone-like feel and silky smooth surface with a slight sheen. Warm brown-red colour resembles terracotta pottery with transparent rich shades. Any orange hues you see in photos are caused by the direct strong light used for a photoshoot. This Buddha figurine is a collectable resin statue that will appreciate in value over time. Marked with a label "Made in Taiwan, Republic of China" fixed into the base.
Comes complete with the vintage sold-wood piece of a Chinese statue pedestal with smooth-flowing natural lines, which does not distract from the elaborate magnificence of the statue on display. The green felt-covered base protects your desk or shelf from scratches. Unmarked.
Both pieces date around 1950s.
Measures: The Laughing Buddha figurine is just over 8 cm tall, 3.5 cm diameter across base. Oriental Chinese wood stand measures 2 cm in height and 9.5 cm in length.
Condition: Excellent. Both Chinese antiques are in perfect vintage condition, free from damages, scuffs, or repairs.
Returns. I gladly accept returns, in the unlikely event that you are not thrilled with your item. You get a full refund of the purchase price up until the end of day 7 of receiving your order. Simply return the item to me in its original condition, shown in photos. The cost of returning the item using a door-to-door courier service is buyer's responsibility. Delivery or postal charges are non-refundable.

At the checkout, select the "Collect from a PostNet branch" as your delivery option, add R99.00 to your order and specify the address of your chosen PostNet branch.
Transit times are based on working days, and exclude weekends or public holidays.
Force Majeure. Although not a common case, over the lockdown period irregularities in delivery services can occasionally happen. In these circumstances I will appoint an alternative service provider to ensure that your parcel arrives safely on time. Any delays or irregularities in delivery that may occur would be relayed to you so that you are kept fully informed of the progress of your parcel.

- Where the item is antique or vintage, the item cannot be expected to be in a new condition. Mint Condition implies that the item is brand new and has never been used, which is rarely the case with historical items. Normal wear and tear, imperfections and crazing as consistent with age should be expected and are a marker of a genuine antique/vintage item. These imperfections do not affect the value of quality items and, in fact, in many cases add to the to its historical character for seasoned collectors. Near Mint Condition or Excellent Condition or rare antiques are typically offered for a higher price. The size of a piece bears no relation to its value.
- The purchase is to be completed within 7 days. I reserve the right to cancel orders from buyers who have not completed their transaction during that period and relist the item for sale.
