Vintage J A Chapman ratchet bit brace - England. The brace measures 36cm long and features a knurled two jaw octogonal shaped chuck with self-centering universal jaws for round or tanged bits; ball bearing head; and lube holes for the ratchet and head. The grip and wrist are crafted from wood covered by a hard plastic. The grip turns easily, but the wrist turns tightly. There is some surface rust on the metal. A great buy for the collector.
