This piece is intricately crafted in lovely detail. I bought this item as jade. The lid features the horoscope symbol of the Horse, & the sides are adorned with lions. The item has not been cleaned. The marbling in this piece is lovely.
The burning of incense permeates Asian history. It was burned to honour ancestors, treat ailments and for religious and spiritual rituals. Incense burners are lit in temples and sacred places during prayer to purify the air & promote the flow of chi.
