It is this shiny being patent leather. Measures 39cm high with the

strap. Height without the strap is 23.5cm and the length is 23cm

Please note the corners are worn (showing a little metal) and this

would be due to age and normal wear & tear. There is a light

scratching on the gold metal piece see thumbprint picture.

All else is as photographed.

As far as I am concerned this is a vintage piece. Jane Shilton

production bags of today have a different marking. Jane Shilton

is a leading and well know manufacturer/retailer of luxury handbags

& accessories

PLEASE GOOGLE. The company was started by Alexander Shilton

prior to WW2. When called up for active duty in the war his secretary

Jane continued to run the business. He returned and married Jane

and named the company after her.

 

This is a lovely bag, as can be seen.
