VINTAGE KODAK 16mm CINE CAMERA WITH ORIGINAL LEATHER CARRY CASE, WESTON MASTER II LIGHT METER & 2 MANUALS FOR THE LIGHT METER
This is a complete vintage camera kit ready to go! A 16mm Kodak Cine camera, it's original leather carry bag with shoulder strap, a Weston Light meter - in original leather holding case and 2 well used instruction manuals for the light meter.
The Kodak 16mm Cine camera was first introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1936. - It had a cassette that could be loaded in daylight - with 50ft of film in each cassette. It is completely mechanical - it has a spring wound motor, that you have to wind up - no batteries required. This camera is in working condition. The cassette holder is empty - as can be seen in images. The only thing that is missing - is a glass piece in the lens. It also has a fold up viewfinder. All parts and clasps work. It also has adjustable speeds.
The Weston Master Light Meter II - is in working condition - and does not require batteries, as it has a Selenium cell that recharges with light. The leather holder is intact and clasp works,
The leather carry case and shoulder strap have been well used - but all clasps are in working condition. It is covered with many Travel stickers - which indicate that the man who owned this camera travelled with Royal Java Mail Packet Lines, Netherlands, Cheng Hua Shipping Co - China, Stirling Castle and Union Lines. Both Cape Town and Port Elizabeth are noted on labels.
I have not cleaned the leather case - as it has so much history attached to it - and it has a wonderful vintage smell when you open the case!
Thank you for taking the time to view this item. All the items will be sold as one lot.
This will be of interest to collectors of photographic equipment, for set props in film making - or for experimental retro film makers - or just someone who wants an exciting, well travelled piece of history.
