Offered for sale is a stylish and highly decorative Mid 20th Century Chinese cloisonne vase in the famille noir style. The vase is made from brass or a brass based alloy overlaid with rich polychrome enamels in copper wire. The decorative motif is Chrysanthemum blooms and buds with foliage in shades or mauve and purple contrasting with dark and light green foliage . The collar and foot ring of the vase have a decorative border in pale blue mauve and green. The base has the traditional turquoise enamelling.
