POSITIVELY ROYAL VINTAGE LARGE RAISED HEAD GARNET & GREY SEED PEARL CLUSTER RING IN 9CT YELLOW GOLD. 375

Large and really heavy (over 9 grams) this rather special vintage piece features a large, raised ring head garnet cluster with a frame of grey seed pearls. The rich, wine-red garnets are 3mm medium round faceted and claw set in 9ct yellow gold. The ring head measures 18mm across x 23mm long and is raised a splendid 9mm above the finger! The head is set on a relatively slender but nicely solid 9ct yellow gold shank, with openwork below the gemstones that allows light reflecting through to maximise depth and sparkle. 18 x 2.5mm grey natural pearls form the frame around the gemstones. The piece is in excellent condition, with only light buff marks to speak of its age; It bears the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct yellow gold. No assay to trace its true origin but I did buy it from an antique jeweller in the famous Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, England. I have had the ring examined and appraised by an independent jeweller; it has been certified at R17'000. A certificate to that effect will accompany the piece. Please note the small ring size. I checked with my jeweller and youcuold make it larger without stressing the ring head as it is such a solid piece.A regal piece, with classic design and colours - a rather special English vintage collectable!
