Vintage Large Limoges France Fragonard Gilt Porcelain Display Plate - Romantic Couple
This vintage Limoges plate features a reproduced painting of a pastoral courting couple. These courting couple portraits were a series inspired by the work of artist, Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806) - a French painter of the Rococo style. The charm of the couple is captured beautifully; and the refined red and gold trim creates an elegant frame for the artwork.
This plate is in an excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and is fully marked on the base.
It is a diameter of about 21.5cm and height of about 2 cm.
