Vintage! Large Shiwan Chinese Mudman Figurine Fisherman.
This is a very cute figurine of a Chinese Mudman sitting on a rock fishing. Unfortunately he has lost his fishing pole. 'Mudmen figures were called such because they were made from mudbank clay rather than porcelain clay. Their faces and hands, which was the color of mud, were left unglazed hence the name. He is in a very good pre-loved condition but his left hand side sideburn has broken off. Besides the Made In China sticker there is other illegible hand writing on the base.
