Vintage leather, brass & suede leather handbag - A most unique handbag !!

ANTIQUE / VINTAGE LEATHER, BRASS AND SUEDE LEATHER HANDBAG

This amazing bag is most unusual. On the inside is leather in a stone colour trimmed with black - 2 pockets, one on either side. The outside is a black suede leather. Holding it altogether is a brass frame and clasp. The top of the frame is made up of 2 halves which come together and clip shut with a thumb action opening clasp, working perfectly. The straps come together at the top and so form a 'wrist strap'. When bag is closed this wrist strap flops over to one side of the bag. I think it was probably used to slide onto a sash or belt to allow hands free or for the bag to be hidden from view under clothing.  

Height 19.5cm x width 22cm x depth 10cm - A fairly heavy bag.

For its age, very good. 1 or 2 very small dents in the brass frame but you dont see them unless you are looking for them, but mentioning them for accuracy sake. The Suede is wearing in some places, but again, not badly and certainly not in any way to detract from the uniqueness of the bag. In fact it adds to it's authenticity.
