A scarce and visually striking London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) parcel stamp featuring the bold 8d (eight pence) pre-decimal fare in bright orange, with the station name CRICKLEWOOD overprinted in black. Overprinted locality stamps are significantly rarer, as they were printed in small batches for specific stations or parcels offices.

Cricklewood, located in northwest London, was an important LMS hub for freight operations. Most parcel stamps were quickly discarded after delivery, and surviving station-stamped examples like this, especially in orange print, are desirable among collectors of British railway ephemera.

Purple cancellation markings remain visible, adding authentic period character.
