DESCRIPTION:
An ivory glazed china cake platter and server / lifter, decorated with
red transfer-printed roses and green leaves within a floral gilt border.
MARKS:
Stamped in black: Lord Nelson Pottery, England, Crown over N and number 3320 in gilt. Elijah
Cotton, better known as Lord Nelson, established a pottery in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent in 1885.
CONDITION:
No chips or cracks, with slight crazing to centre of plate and ground stilt marks to server.
DIMENSIONS:
Plate approximately 29cm in diameter and server 25cm in length X 7.5cm in width.
