Lovatts Pottery was a prominent English stoneware manufacturer based at Langley Mill, Derbyshire.
The company, established by James Calvert, a chemist and druggist, became known for its salt-glazed ink pots, polish pots, and ginger-beer bottles initially. Over time, their production expanded to include a wide range of stoneware items, such as jugs, vases, coffee pots, and other household pottery.
Their range included utilitarian items like ink bottles and bed warmers, as well as decorative pieces like vases and planters. Lovatts produced various lines, including "Langley Ware" and "Lagoon Ware," often featuring distinctive glazes and designs.
