Vintage Lytic methanol platinum catalytic lighter

This is a Lytic catalytic lighter, most likely made in England. Catalytic lighters work by using a thin platinum wire that reacts with methanol fumes to create a flame.

You can see how it works here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cUZEjOvkMI.

If you watched the video you will see that the protective metal strip that enclosed the tips of the ignitor teeth is missing on this lighter. Also, only two thin platinum wires still remain. So in theory the lighter might still work, but assume that it's non-working. It also needs a good clean.
