Info: The highly detailed cadastral and regional maps of the Cape Division from this era (including the landmark 1901 and subsequent revised editions) involved a dedicated team within the colonial government.
The Chief Compiler was M.J. Brink, who superintended the compilation and layout of the property boundaries and geographic features.
The Lithographer was A. Bailey, who drafted the maps onto stone for printing at the Surveyor General's Office (SGO).
Original Printers onto cloth were Messrs. Ross & Cowen, a prominent printing firm based in Cape Town.
