This original vintage presentation case was produced by H. Slingsby Ltd of Nuneaton known manufacturers of high-quality regalia for fraternal orders in the early 20th century. This particular case once held a Freemason silver-gilt jewel dated to 1929-1930 and was sourced from the estate of a Mason.
The case is covered in deep brown leather or high-grade leatherette, with gold trim detailing and lined with rich blue velvet and cream satin. The interior lid bears the Slingsby makers mark, and the medal-shaped cavity remains clean and intact. It closes securely with a working clasp and displays beautifully whether open or closed.
There is expected wear from age, particularly around the edges and corners, but the case remains structurally sound and full of character. A highly collectible item perfect for Freemasonry enthusiasts looking to complete a set or house a period jewel in appropriate style. Approximate dimensions: 13 cm x 6.3 cm x 2.2 cm when closed.
