VINTAGE MEGURO JAPAN & UNBRANDED WOOD CARVING KNIVES BUNDLE (22 PIECES)

A wonderful, comprehensive vintage craft bundle perfect for linocut, block printing, and wood carving enthusiasts. This set includes a total of 22 wood carving tools divided into two matched sets of 11, neatly housed in a vintage turquoise card box with an original Meguro packet insert.

The first set of 11 features contoured wooden handles, brass ferules, and hand-marked numbering ("M.A. 1" to "M.A. 11") on the shafts. This set aligns with the included original vintage "Meguro Woodcarving Knife Mfg. Co. Made in Japan" insert sheet, which details the use of their forged steel blades for DIY, sculpture, and handicraft. The second set of 11 features unbranded, straight wooden handles with silver-tone metal ferules.

CONDITION

• Overall: Very good vintage condition.

• Blades: The forged steel blades show expected age-related patina and light surface oxidation but are structurally sound, intact, and ready to be honed and sharpened to a razor edge.

• Handles: The wooden handles are solid and sturdy with no cracks.

• Box & Insert: The generic turquoise card box has minor vintage shelf wear. The original Meguro paper insert is exceptionally clean and well-preserved with bright red and black graphics.
