Vintage 'Metropolitan' Whistle (J. Hudson & Co.)
This vintage, nickel-plated on brass 'Metropolitan' whistle, from the early 1900's, works well and is in good condition. It is stamped 'THE METROPOLITAN' 'J. HUDSON & Co, 244 BARR STREET, BIRMINGHAM', and it measures 8cm in length.
Note: This whistle belonged to the late Mervyn Mitton, author of the book 'The Policeman's Lot' (A reference book on antique British police equipment).
