Large Vintage, Millers Falls, Extendable Spiral Ratchet Screwdriver since 1886

Very useful, sturdy spiral ratchet screwdriver. Size, standard with bit 14 inches           

In good working condition. Size, extended with bit 19.5 inches

Two interchangeable flat screwdriver bits.

To adjust

Turning the outer knurled adjuster clockwise or counterclockwise to extend the ratchet (image No 8)

Turning the larger knurled adjuster counterclockwise is for left and clockwise is for right (image No 8)

Placing marker in the center locks the setting to a long standard screwdriver (normal of extended)

Adding an asset

If you are capable of filing, file a round pozidriv (or a Phillips) bit to fit

Or use a Phillip's bit and add it to a screwdriver bit (cut to fit) by welding or silver solder (see last image)

The spiral is in perfect working condition (see close-up image below)
