A remarkably enduring blend from Victorian Edinburgh containing some of the finest malt whisky.
Queen Anne was first released by Hill, Thomson & Co. in 1884, and registered in 1902. The blend was established and promoted by the firms export salesman, William Shaw, who had recently joined the company. Hill, Thomson & Co. was established in 1857, though its roots go back to William Hills licenced grocers shop which opened in 1793. It remained at 45 Frederick Street in the heart of Edinburghs New Town for two centuries.
Wade Ceramics Ltd was a manufacturer of porcelain and earthenware, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Its products include animal figures for its Collectors Club, whisky flagons, and a variety of industrial ceramics.
Condition: Very Good, mint condition, no faults on the small whisky service water jug, internally there are no blemishes at all.
