CONDITION: IN GOOD CONDITION. 99% COMPLETE. MISSING THE SPEED DICE AND 3 HOUSES. BOARD HAS A TEAR BUT STILL IN TACT. BOX HAS A FEW SCRAPES. This set does not have a speed dice which was first introduced in the Mega Edition in 2006 and added to the standard game the following year in 2007, the Speed Die is a special red (originally blue) die that speeds up the progression of the game when it is used.

MONOPOLY: In the USA in 1933, Charles Darrow devised Monopoly based on an earlier game by Elizabeth J. Magie. The patent was filed 31st August 1935 while the game was on sale in America. Based on an earlier game, The Landlord's Game, it was at first rejected by Parker Bros., as being too complicated to be a success. How wrong could they be!
In recent years manufacturer Hasbro has created dozens of new iterations and spinoffs. The game also has a long history with South Africa - the first localised version of the game appeared sometime in the 1980s. It featured streets in Durban, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.
Newer commercialised versions in South Africa have done away with traditional street names, and instead feature tourist attractions and other corporate establishments.
The game revolves around the throw of dice, and is largely one of luck. Players move the number they throw, and if the property they land on is owned by another player they must pay up. Chance and Community Chest cards, which reward or fine players, add another element of unpredictability into the mix.
The chance factor means theres no surefire way to win every game. But if you take your capitalism seriously and are hellbent on winning, the are some strategies you can employ to give you an edge.
 
HERITAGE BOARD GAME: Reach the middle of the board and answer a question correctly.
Play: Players move forward the number shown by the thrown die. A question is asked from the category of the square they land on - Scenic, Kill, Waterhole, Soil Erosion, Drought, Fire, Flood or Hide. A penalty plastic disc is placed in the "Snake Pit" for a wrong answer. On the 3rd wrong answer the player moves directly to the "Snake Pit". Other penalty squares also exist.
When a corner square is landed on a "You have made a reservation" card is acquired. On the 5th corner square landing a player moves towards the middle of the board. The exact number must be thrown to land on the middle square.
