Vintage Mosaic & Butterfly Wing Pill Boxes (3)
These three lovely, small, vintage pill or trinket boxes are beautifully made and were probably manufactured around the 1940/50's. Two are Italian with wonderful floral mosaic decoration to their lids and the other is possibly French with a pretty iridescent butterfly wing decorated lid, with a small mirror inside. Two have tight fitting hinged lids and the other, (round mosaic) was hinged, but has come apart at the hinge but closes firmly. The oval mosaic box has an attractive floral relief pattern around the sides with a gilded interior and is sadly, missing a tiny piece of mosaic on the lid. Other than the faults mentioned, they're in great condition and measure, round mosaic 30mm x 18mm, oval mosaic 34mm x 23mm x 16mm, and butterfly wing 38mm x 14mm. The two mosaic ones are stamped 'ITALY' on their bases.
