There are 4 valve/vacuum tubes in this Vintage National Model CV-400P, H&J portable radio from the last century, circa 1950's.
The radio is in excellent condition considering its age.
The unit powers up and tunes in to stations surprisingly clearly, has been tested with mains power and is working on AC 220 volt current & is supplied with its original mains cord.
It can also be used with batteries, battery function has not been tested.
There is a large round tuning dial and an on/off/volume dial on the front.
The top has a collapsible plastic handle with chromed clips.
The aerial is complete and intact.
Only real damage to the unit is a chip out of the hard plastic casing as per image, see red arrow. Casing otherwise is in splendid condition, no cracks, no scratches.
This unit could well be part of a fine collection.
