Vintage nine-figure porcelain 'Monkey" band Ref. Nov81

OK, so I really don't know too much about the "Monkey Band as shown above, and, it certainly is not antique.
It is probably somewhere between the 1940 - 1970 era, and, possibly inspired by the German Meissen 'Monkey' band (which today commands very high prices).  But, here in KwaZulu-Natal, monkeys are part of your everyday life, there are very few places where they don't exist, either happily with you, or, in some cases, not!

All in all, although we get mad at them for invading our kitchen, stealing all the fruit off our trees and generally making themselves a complete nuisance, they do have a certain 'charm' as does the Monkey band offered above.

All the 'players' are in excellent condition and stand around 6cm in height. Made from a pure white porcelain , the only colour being their black eyes, they create a very charming group.
