It is a Swiss-made timepiece with 17 jewels.
The watch has a date display window at the 3 o'clock position. The "Compensamatic" technology refers to a bi-metallic balance wheel that automatically corrected timing deviations caused by temperature changes. Nivada watches were known for their durability and were popular in the mid-20th century.
