Vintage Orient Express Brass Table Desk Lamp

'Paris Istanbul' - 1960's

A lovely brass lamp with an adjustable brass shade and claw feet base. The shade fits onto a solid brass rod set on one side of the base and can be adjusted for light requirements, reading etc. The shade tightens onto the rod with a screw knob.

This is an original reproduction of the late 1800s to early 1930's gas lamps and lanterns used on the world famous Orient Express trains in all their sitting and dining cars. The electric lamps were manufactured in the 1960's as gift line and sold to passengers who travelled on the trains.

This particular lamp is one of the earlier models as indicated by the small lever and two 'warning use only paraffin' knobs resembling the original kerosene lanterns
