Vintage Orlik Byford Estate Pipe. Made in England.

A vintage, quality estate pipe in the straight billiard shape by renowned pipe makers Orlik.  Stamped "Orlik, Byford" and "Made in England" to the shank with the number "18". In overall good vintage condition with slight wear to the bowl exterior. Cleaned and sanitized.  Kindly view images above for more detail.

Orlik was an English pipe manufacturer founded in 1899 by Louis Orlik. While originally the companys mission was to produce low-cost pipes, the make would ultimately be known for the distinctly high quality of their products. Consequently, Orlik pipes are today a favorite among pipe smokers and collectors, especially those who prefer the hobby's Great British classics.

I have on auction a large estate lifelong collection of quality tobacco smoking pipes dating from the 1950's to 1980's.  Apart from 3 or 4 of them (faults mentioned specifically) the condition is good to very good.  The collection has clearly been well-maintained and lovingly cared for.
