Description: Vintage Painter's Palette-Shaped Delftware Cheese Board.
Beautifully decorated in the classic Delft Blue style, celebrating French culture with the text "J'aime La France" bordered by traditional floral scrolls, a rustic breadbasket, and a wine bottle with grapes.
Depicting three iconic Parisian architectural landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, and the Arc de Triomphe. The board features an organic thumbhole grip, a dedicated circular recess for a cheese spreader, and a grooved slot designed to cradle a cheese knife securely. The reverse side features the original, clean fire-branded manufacture crest reading "Delft Blue Hand painted Holland" inside a royal crown laurel wreath.
This unique item represents a fascinating European design cross-over from the late 20th century.
While the artwork celebrates France, the tile itself was masterfully hand-painted and mounted in the Netherlands (Holland) under a registered royal crown insignia. It beautifully captures the global mid-century trend where traditional Dutch "Delfts Blauw" artisans created custom souvenir export lines for neighbouring European tourist markets, combining high-gloss Delft durability with classic French country style.

The fire-branded maker's mark on the back is crisp and clear. The porcelain tile remains firmly set, vibrant, and completely free of chips or cracks.
